It is a unique, chunky, barrel shape with gathered material at the sides and a zip closure at the top. It has red colored leather comprising the top, sides, and strap with gold tone hardware. The shoulder strap looks like it has threads that were meant to be snipped but never were, like on the slit of a skirt, that would make the strap significantly longer. This leads me to believe it got very little, if any use, despite its age!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePurse: 8\" x 6\" x 6\"; Strap length: 12\" (as is); 24\" is threads were snipped; *Item #: \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe interior looks very lightly  - no peeling.
